Stained Glass Care

Care of your Stained Glass
To maintain The beauty of your handmade glass here are some simple guidelines to remove streaks & fingerprints and to keep it’s shine.

CLEANING:

Use a soft cloth, paper towel, shop towel, or newspaper to buff it clean
Never use windex, or soap and water

POLISHING:

I polish all my pieces prior to delivery, so you may never need to polish indoor pieces again. Outdoor pieces should be polished once a year.

• Remove any oxidation and dirt by gently scrubbing all surfaces with 0000 Steel
Wool
• Vacuum the piece to remove any steel wool remnants
• Apply polish all surfaces of the piece according to instructions. I use Meguiar’s
Deep Crystal Carnuba Wax for cars, but you can use any car wax that is NOT a
cleaner and wax
• Let polish dry, then buff with a soft towel or rag

HANGING:

Use heavy duty 3M Command Hooks for window placement. Medium 4LB hooks will hold most pieces securely, FOLLOW THEIR DIRECTIONS for cleaning the window and placing the hook.
Mirrors and wall pieces can be hung with an nail and a picture hook.
